Baghdad wants to talk but not about parting

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi called on Tuesday to consult with Kurdish leaders.

Abadi, in a press conference in Baghdad, announced a dialogue, but called the Kurdish independence reader 'something of the past. 'Speaking between the Kurdish leaders and the government should be' under the constitution 'according to the Prime Minister.

The Iraqi leader called the Kurdish parliamentary debate on parting already unconstitutional. The inhabitants of the autonomous Kurdish territories voted in favor of independence last month in that referendum.

The Iraqi-Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani said on Tuesday that that vote would have been 'in vain'.
