ireland - Imelda Collins offers her Irish countryside home through a lottery for just 6 euros, aiming to help those unable to afford a house in Ireland. Learn more on telegraaf.nl.

Win a Cottage on the Irish Countryside with a 6 Euro Ticket

Imelda Collins, a 52-year-old homeowner, has chosen a unique method to sell her property in the Irish countryside by organizing a lottery instead of a traditional sale.

House Details and Lottery Process

The cottage, located near Sligo on the Irish west coast, features two bedrooms and 70 acres of land. Interested participants can purchase a lottery ticket online for 5.92 euros to enter the draw.

Collins aims to transfer her property to those who may not afford it otherwise and hopes to profit more from the lottery than a standard sale.

Limits and Contingencies

If less than 150,000 tickets are sold by the deadline, Collins can choose to award the winner 50% of the ticket sales, keeping 40% for herself with 10% going to the online platform, Rafall.

If the target is met, Collins plans to cover the winner's taxes and notary fees and make a generous donation to a charity close to her heart.

Property Value and Expected Returns

Having invested 280,000 euros in renovations and furnishings, the house is now valued at 300,000 euros. Collins anticipates earning between 400,000 to 450,000 euros post expenses and taxes.
