Former Putin Advisor Reveals Russian Military Losses in Ukraine War

Sergei Markov, a former advisor to Putin and current political analyst, inadvertently shared Russia's death toll from the Ukraine conflict, hinting at hundreds of thousands of casualties.

Unverified Estimates and Conflicting Reports

Officially, Moscow confirmed 5,937 Russian military deaths in Ukraine, with additional reports suggesting a much higher toll. The UK Ministry of Defense estimated over 200,000 Russian fatalities, marking it as Russia's largest losses since World War II.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine had lost 43,000 soldiers in the conflict, with 370,000 cases of wounded receiving aid, half of whom returned to battle.
