Miracle baby survives three unique heart operations

Vanellope Hope Wilkins is three weeks old but was already strong enough to endure three heavy operations.

The condition is called ectopia cordis and according to doctors is very rare. In the United Kingdom no baby survived until now, English media write.

Mother Naomi Findlay (31) and father Dean Wilkins (43) from Nottingham call their daughter 'a real fighter. '

Within fifty minutes of her birth, Vanellope had already undergone the first operation. To cover the hole in her chest, the doctors used the skin of the baby. Child cardiologist Frances Bu'Lock is satisfied with the condition of the child after three operations.
