Man attacking Rand Paul appears neighbor

The 59-year-old man who attacked the US senator Rand Paul at his house in Kentucky on Friday seems to be his neighbor.

The injuries of the senator appear to be more serious than initially thought. Paul broke five ribs and thus caused damage to his lungs. 'It may take months before the injuries are completely healed,' Paul's chief executive Doug Stafford told The Washington Post.

Why Boucher had been on the senator is still unclear. The suspect, like Paul, who is still an ophthalmologist, is someone who works in the medical sector. Boucher worked as an anesthetist in a hospital. He must be responsible for the court this week.
