Hunting for vampires Malawi continues

Vermed vampires remain the target of lynch parties in the south of african malawi.

Angry meadows hunt in the stray land since September on suspected vampires in response to rumors about leeches. The last last victim was a man who probably suffered from epilepsy on Thursday. He was abused and burned on the street in the city of Blantyre.

The police had so far held 140 people involved in lynch parties.

Because of the unrest, the United Nations has removed people from the region. The US Embassy has forbidden its staff to travel to the area.
