Chef MI5 is eight terrorist threats bigger than ever before

The chance of an Islamic attack in Britain has never been as great as now.

The head of the British Security Service MI5, Andrew Parker, said Tuesday on a speech in London. The speed with which new threats develop has never been so high in the 34 years he is in the box, Parker (55) said. Attacks, as he said, may change plans in progress within a few days.

The security service currently has about five hundred operations against an estimated 3000 extremists. In previous investigations, the service received a total of 20,000 terrorists. In addition, MI5 keeps an eye on those returning from Syria and Iraq. Parker, in this connection, is a strictly necessary cooperation with other European security services.

Britain has been the target of an attack five times this year. In addition, 36 people died.
