EU leaders are trotting from one to another top

The EU leaders hold their annual autumn summit in Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday, which actually consists of three summits.

That ritual starts Wednesday at the brexitop. At 7:00 pm, the leaders of the 27 EU countries staying for a working dinner will be discussing the stalled negotiations on the separation of the United Kingdom. EU negotiator Michel Barnier will probably ask him to give him a few more weeks to reach an agreement.

May is not allowed to come along, but in a short meeting to explain her vision of the brexit.

The 'ordinary' summit will begin on Thursday at 09.30, with all 28. Migration and internal security are the main points. At the request of the Netherlands, among other things, sanction measures against persons or organizations involved in a cyber attack are discussed.

The euro summit will start at 13.00, without May. The 27 talk about strengthening Economic and Monetary Union. Press conferences are planned at half past four.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his colleagues do not go home yet. At half past seven they receive leaders from Asia, followed by a gala dinner with the Belgian king Filip. On Friday there are several working sessions at the EU-Asia Summit.
