Cuba leaves 787 prisoners after call of Pope

Cuba leaves 787 prisoners released after Pope Francis for the Holy Year had called to express forgiveness heads of state in the world to detainees.

The newspaper Granma, the organ of the ruling Communist Party, wrote Tuesday that 'women, children, the sick and other categories' are released. Cuba officially has no political prisoners. Over there was also no mention.

The Holy Year began in December 2015 and ends Sunday. The theme was grace, chosen by the Pope.
