Astronauts ISS safely back on earth

Three astronauts returned to Earth in Kazakhstan on Wednesday after a stay in the International Space Station (ISS).

Images of the American space agency NASA showed how the astronauts were removed from the capsule after it had landed on a steppe in Kazakhstan at 3.31 am (Dutch time). There, the three were taken care of by family and colleagues.

The three spacemen left for ISS in September 2017 and stayed there for 168 days. Three other astronauts currently man the space station, a Russian, an American and a Japanese. They will be joined by three new astronauts on 21 March.
