Again massive protests in Algeria

Tens of thousands of Algerians took to the streets on Friday to demonstrate against the regime of 82-year-old President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Protesters massively took to the streets in Algiers. There, the protests were mostly peaceful, although the police fired tear gas off. This happened among other things to keep demonstrators away from a road leading to the presidential palace. The authorities had also had public transport in the capital shut down.
