Washington: IS no longer has territory

Islamic State (IS) no longer controls any area in Syria according to the US Department of Defense.

The US has carried out numerous air strikes and supports the Kurdish militias that fought against the Sunni extremists of IS in northeast Syria. The last resistance of IS was in Barghouz close to the Iraqi border on the left bank of the Euphrates River. A website of SOHR civil war observers showed images of a huge number of machine guns that Kurdish militias claim to have captured on IS on Friday.
