Pilot airship heavily injured after explosion

VIDEO- An American pilot of an airship has suffered severe burns on Thursday in the US state of Wisconsin when a commercial flight went wrong.

Video footage shows how to hit large flames from the airship at first. A few moments later, the blimp changes in a fireball. Although previously reported that the pilot remained unharmed, the man later became seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital with a trauma helicopter.

Unlike a zeppelin, 'blimp' does not have a skeleton and the airship is made of soft material. That explains why the danger is falling down as a leak balloon when there is damage.
