Cuba in mourning after plane crash

The Cuban government has two days of national mourning proclaimed because of the air disaster with the Boeing 737.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel, according to the government newspaper Granma, visited the scene of disaster south of the capital. He spoke with relatives of the victims. There were also condolences from his predecessor Raul Castro, just back on his feet after a hernia operation. In all of Cuba, all flags of the public and military buildings hang half-masts until Monday.

The cause of the disaster is not yet known.
