Collapsed bridge Genoa has been the subject of debate for years

The collapsed viaduct over the Polcevera river in Genoa was designed by Riccardo Morandi and was built between 1963 and 1967.

The viaduct is part of the A10 motorway and connects the Cornigliano and Sampierdarena districts. The latter district is one of the largest neighborhoods in Genoa.

The Morandi Bridge has often been the subject of debate, writes the Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano. These discussions were stimulated, among other things, by the many maintenance that the building required for years.
