Abe avoids questions about Nobel Prize nomination Trump

The Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe did not want to confirm or deny on Monday that he had nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump himself revealed on Friday that Abe had nominated him for the prestigious award because of his approach to North Korea. Sources around the Japanese government later told the newspaper Asahi Shimbun that Washington had asked for it. The US would have asked Japan 'informally' to nominate Trump for the Peace Prize.
