- Google Chrome is a handy browser and how to work with them is straightforward. But there are also features that are not so obvious and therefore not known to everyone. Useful tricks the browser many times more pleasant to use if you know it.

Windows includes an option Task Manager lets you view the performance (and load) programs, you were probably well known. But did you know that Google Chrome has its own Task Manager?

Not only the title is the same as the Windows component, the function is identical, ie using Task Manager in Google Chrome, you can see how much memory and CPU power use certain web pages and extensions. That means you can easily identify which extension or web your system disproportionate burden. You can put that process, just like in Windows Task Manager, terminate directly from this screen.

With Task Manager you can see which pages or extensions cause problems.

Sometimes you'll want to find a word or phrase on a Web page for which you know the meaning of what you would like more information. Then of course you can install an extension to the meaning of the word to search directly by clicking on them, but also without an extension, you can search very quickly.

Select the word (or the group of words) select which you want to perform a search. Then drag the selection to the icon for a new tab on top, then automatically performs a search with your selection.

Suppose you are looking for something, and want to know if it is available at your favorite site (which is of course ComputerTotaal fr.), But you do not need to navigate all the way to the site and there to search. Then it is good to know that you who ordered directly from the Omnibox (address bar that also serves as a search engine) you specify.

To do this you have to add the site to your first search engines. You do this by going to the site, right-click the search field that site and select Add to search. To now search within ComputerTotaal. ie, even when you're on another site, you start typing Computer (or word that starts your desired domain) and press Tab. You see now are: 'Search by computer altogether. nl '. Fill the keyword in and press Enter and you'll be taken directly to the search results.

With a handy trick you can immediately perform a search within a site.

A very small and simple trick that you will end up saving a lot of time. Suppose you see something on a web page and you want to find them in the Omnibox. Then you can select the text, press Ctrl + C, then click in the Omnibox and press Ctrl + V. But this is not very efficient. Especially when you know that you can just select the text and drag to the Omnibox. That saves you three operations.

Text can be dragged to the Omnibox to search it.

Google would not be Google if the company does not also some experimental features would be included in his browser. Since these functions are also truly experimental and could possibly cause problems, they are hidden by default by Google.

You can pick them out by typing in the Omnibar (the Chrome address bar): chrome: // flags. This will take you to a page full of experimental features. Much of this you probably will not say anything, but there certainly are some interesting intermediate, such as resuming of interrupted downloads, stacking tabs if there is not enough space, and so on.

Chrome also contains many experimental features, but they are hidden.
