Passenger data with Curaçao

Minister Stef Block (Security and Justice) and Curaçao, Saint Maarten and Aruba have made agreements that need to bring closer passenger data exchange.

The regulations on passenger data are aligned to enable future exchange. During the consultation, further agreements have been made with Aruba and Sint Maarten on the exchange of DNA profiles.

The Netherlands and the countries within the kingdom, Aruba, Curaçao and Saint Maarten, agreed in 2014 to give each other access to the databases with DNA data of perpetrators of serious crimes. The appointments made now bring that one step closer.

An important topic of discussion was the approach to trafficking in human beings. It is in the region a spearhead in the fight against crime.
