Cruise ship reaches port after near-disaster

The luxury cruise ship that was in need of nearly 1400 passengers and crew on the Norwegian Sea, arrived safely on Sunday at the port of Molde.

The Viking Sky sent out an emergency call on Saturday when it drifted in rough seas to 100 meters from the land. The authorities started a rescue operation, during which 479 passengers were taken aboard with helicopters. Most passengers came from America and Great Britain. Among them were many elderly people.
