- Leeds, the newly promoted Premier League club, confirms the signing of veteran Slovenia center-back Jaka Bijol on a five-year contract for around £15 million.

Leeds United has officially announced the signing of veteran Slovenia defender Jaka Bijol on a five-year contract. The 26-year-old center back joins the club from Udinese for a reported fee of around £15 million.

International Experience

Bijol, who has 63 international caps for Slovenia, played a crucial role in the 2024 European Championship, helping his team secure draws against England and Portugal.

Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers

Slovenia is set to begin their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in September, facing tough competition from Switzerland, Sweden, and Kosovo.

Leeds' Season Opener
