Benfica President Confirms No Offer from Real Madrid for Carreras

Benfica's Rui Costa denies receiving any offer from Real Madrid for Spanish left-back Álvaro Carreras, who has impressed since joining the club in 2024.

Madrid's Interest and Carreras' Performance

Álvaro Carreras, a product of Madrid's youth system, has excelled at Benfica, scoring three goals in 32 league appearances and featuring in 10 Champions League games.

Costa stated that Carreras' future will be decided after the Club World Cup, where Benfica faces Chelsea in the round of 16.

Release Clause and Madrid's Defensive Signings

Carreras, under contract until June 2029, has a €50m release clause. Madrid, having strengthened their defense with Alexander-Arnold and Huijsen, are yet to make an offer for the talented left-back.
