- The virtual reality glasses that Google is working on, will be used without a computer or smartphone. That reports The Wall Street Journal, citing sources inside the tech giant.
Current VR goggles must be connected to a- moderate- PC or use a phone screen. Google itself offers Cardboard, cardboard cases in which users can post a smartphone and then use it as a whole rather primitive VR glasses. Advanced eyewear as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive utilize the processing power of a computer to bring virtual worlds to life.
According to the American business newspaper the new Google glasses will not have this already. The device, probably during the I / O developer conference, the company unveiled in May, has its own screen and processor. Probably runs a version of Android operating system on the device. It will also contain a camera, so report the sources of the newspaper.
