Saudi Arabia releases all princes

All princes, businessmen and senior officials who were stuck in Saudi Arabia in a major investigation into corruption have been released.

Among them is also one of the richest men in the world, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Earlier it became known that in order to be released, he had to put over 5 billion euros on the table. Whether he has done that is not known.

Banks in Saudi Arabia started a major anti-corruption campaign in November under the government's orders. In addition, more than 1200 bank accounts are blocked from individuals and companies. A series of princes, businessmen and officers were arrested during the action. Most prominent target was Prince Bin Talal.

The prince is 57th on the list of richest people in the world. His assets are estimated at at least 15 billion euros. He amassed his fortune with worldwide stock trading and investments in companies.
