Manchester United Release Trio of Players
Manchester United has officially announced the departure of Victor Lindelöf, Christian Eriksen, and Jonny Evans as their contracts were not extended. Lindelöf, who joined in 2017, made 284 appearances for the club. Evans, with two spells at Old Trafford, featured 43 times in his second stint. Eriksen, signed in 2021, scored eight goals in 107 games, including a goal in his final match against Aston Villa.
Contract Talks and Departures
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton, whose contract is expiring, is in discussions for a new deal. Additionally, other players like Hubert Graczyk, Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray, Tom Myles, James Nolan, and Tom Wooster have also left the club. United expressed pride in their departing young players and assured support in finding new clubs.
Transfer Speculations
Manchester United is considering offloading Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho. On the incoming side, the club has secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves and is actively pursuing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
