Manchester City has officially announced the acquisition of goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea on a one-year deal. The 33-year-old, who was the third-choice goalkeeper at Chelsea, will be taking over Scott Carson's position in the City squad.

Bettinelli's Statement

In a statement, Bettinelli expressed his excitement about joining City and working with Pep Guardiola and the goalkeeping staff. He aims to contribute to the team's success on and off the pitch, looking forward to winning more silverware in the upcoming season.

Summer Signings

Bettinelli is the second summer signing for Manchester City, following the addition of left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves. The club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
