Polish parliament agrees with legal reform

The parliament of the Polish Parliament approved Thursday's controversial law to replace the Supreme Court judges, except those already appointed by the Minister of Justice.

The Polish Senate has to approve the law, but also in that college, the Conservative and Euroceptive Party of Law and Justice of Party Leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has a majority. The public representatives agreed on Friday night with a law that gives them more control over the appointment of judges. According to critics, this contradicts the constitution, which prescribes separation of powers.
