Open polling stations in Alabama

The polling stations in Alabama are open.

Moore (70) takes on the Democrat Doug Jones (63). Alabama is traditionally a Republican state, but Moore has been discredited for alleged sexual harassment in the 1970s and 1980s. He certainly denies, but the doubt has remained. The polls result in a neck-and-neck race, with 46 percent of the votes for both.

If Jones can sit in the Senate, the Republicans will have the smallest possible majority left: 51 out of 100 seats.
