Johnson: May puts bomb belt around VK

Boris Johnson still does not have a good word for the Brexit policy of British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Johnson speaks of a 'semi-masochistic relationship' with regard to negotiations with the EU and calls it a 'humiliation that exposes us to persistent political blackmail. 'According to Johnson, Brussels determines the rules and the UK only has to accept them. 'We look like a weakness of less than 50 kilos that is comically knotted by a 500 pound gorilla. '

His words were bad with many Conservatives. Secretary of State Alan Duncan said that Johnson's criticism marks 'one of the most horrible moments in modern British politics'. He predicted that this is the 'political end' of Johnson, even though he has the ambition to follow May. Other Tories especially fear a further split in the party.
