Former CIA agent arrested in New York

A former agent of the American intelligence service CIA was arrested at JFK airfield in New York.

The suspect is a 53-year-old American who lives in Hong Kong. He worked for the CIA from 1994 to 2007 and had access to extremely secret information.

FBI agents searched his hotel room in 2012 during visits to Virginia and Hawaii. They then found booklets with handwritten information with names and numbers of recruited spies and CIA employees, according to the ministry.
