China promises Africa 52 billion euros

Chinese President Xi Jinping has promised African countries $ 60 billion (nearly 52 billion euros) in support.

Xi also said that Chinese companies are encouraged to invest billions in the continent over the next three years. He made those statements in the Great People's Hall in Beijing, where African leaders had gathered because of a large Chinese-African summit.

The president also made it clear that his country wants to import more products from Africa. There is a special fund for this. 'Cooperation between China and Africa should bring tangible benefits and successes to Chinese and Africans,' said Xi. ' They must be seen and felt. ''
