Chile also does not sign the Marrakesh pact

The Chilean government decided not to sign the agreement one day before signing the UN Migration Pact in Morocco.

The opposition in Chile is angry about the decision because it was taken behind closed doors. Human rights organization Amnesty International has expressed concern, because Chile was one of the big drivers of the pact, according to the organization. 'The country is taking steps backwards in this way,' says a director of Amnesty Chile.
