Sweden also wants to include ICC prisoners

Detainees convicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague can now also be punished in Sweden.

The Rome Statute, the ICC's founding treaty, stipulates that convicted prisoners must be punished in a country designated by the court. Currently, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Serbia, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland have indicated that they are willing to do so. As of Wednesday, Sweden can also be added to that list.
