Rescue operation Thai football players started

The rescue operation to liberate the twelve Thai footballers and their trainer from a flooded cave has begun.

The rescue workers have trained for three to four days, reports Narongsak Osottanakorn. There are thirteen foreigners among the divers. The boys in the cave have been informed of the operation. They will be rescued in groups and the first boys may be outside on Sunday evening at 9:00 pm (local time). Depending on the weather, the entire operation can take three to four days.

The area around the entrance to the flooded cave was already cleared on Sunday morning. Journalists who stop there are asked to leave. 'During the operation, media on the grounds can not take pictures. Someone taking inappropriate photographs is held responsible, 'an army spokesperson told them.

Ten ambulances and medical staff arrived in the area. American divers also arrived at the cave, reports a reporter from The Guardian. In the north of Thailand, dark rain clouds migrate over the mountain area on Sunday morning, which means that the rescue workers may have to act more quickly.
