Maria travels to Dominica

The tropical storm Maria, which is likely to grow into hurricane on Sunday, is heading straight to the Caribbean island of Dominica.

Should that come true, that hopeful news for the north-eastern Saint Eustatius, Saba and St. Maarten, has been severely affected by Irma's vertebral storm.

Maria is now 700 kilometers east of Barbados with wind speeds of 105 kilometers per hour. According to the NHC, Guadeloupe, Martinique and St. Lucia are also in the immediate danger zone. The other upper wind islands must take into account heavy rainfall.
