Lockerbie commemorates air disaster of 30 years back

Memorial services in the Scottish city of Lockerbie mark the 30-year-old attack on a Pan Am-jumbo jet this week, killing 270 people.

The plane exploded over Lockerbie on December 21, 1988 during a flight from London to New York. All 259 people on board died. Another eleven people on the ground left life. It was the most deadly terrorist attack in Britain ever.
