Israel foiled attack plane

Israel has thwarted an attack on a passenger aircraft in Australia last year.

That reported the BBC Thursday. According to the Prime Minister, an 'unimaginable slaughter' was prevented.

It would be an attack on an aircraft from Etihad Airways from Sydney to Abu Dhabi in July last year. Two Lebanese-Australian brothers would have tried to blow up the plane with a homemade bomb. The projectile was discovered during pre-flight checks. The brothers were arrested in Sydney.

A tip from Unit 8200, part of the Israeli army, would have led to the arrest of the two.
