Hundreds of Belgians on a medical trip in Hulst

Hundreds of Belgian patients bought drugs just over the border in Hulst on Saturday morning.

Around four hundred Belgians were taken to Hulst by bus. The action was an initiative of Medicine for the People, a left doctor collective. That is what the Belgian government wants to point out that medicines in the Netherlands are much cheaper, because the prices are here after procurement. That should happen in Belgium too, they find.

The Belgian patients mainly came across a certain prostate medicine, stomach acid and a corticosteroid. They had to settle in cash.
