Dozens of ITs caught up in Turkey

The Turkish authorities have ordered the detention of 105 ITs.

The police have so far taken care of 52 of the suspects. These include former employees of the Tubitak Scientific Research Council and a telecom authority. They are suspected of using Bylock, an app that allows encrypted messages to be sent. According to the Turkish government, that app is being used by followers of Islamic spiritual Fethullah Gülen.

The police are still making great hunting for Gülen fans, designated by Turkey as the brain behind the coup attempt. For example, the authorities issued Monday 72 arrest warrant against university workers, including a former adviser to opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu of the CHP.
