Dead by illegal car race Mönchengladbach

An illegal car racing car in Mönchengladbach has cost a pedestrian on Friday night.

This was accompanied by dangerous overtaking maneuvers, with speeds far above the maximum permitted at 40 km per hour.

The 28-year-old driver of the car was arrested. His brother sat in his car with him. The driver of the other car has been ridden and is being searched, police said.

In German cities it has been more frequent accidents caused by illegal carriages. A court in Berlin labeled such an accident as a murder in February and condemned two speed crimes to life imprisonment.
