President Donald Trump is set to sign a decree on Monday to reduce drug prices in the US, where they are often three times higher than in other developed nations.

Trump aims to close this gap but has not provided specifics on how, as mentioned in a statement on his platform Truth Social. The US drug price reduction is expected to be offset by higher costs in other countries.

Trump stated, "They will go up globally to compensate and bring equality to America for the first time in many years!"
