macau - (Reuters / BLOOMBERG)- The casinos in the Chinese gambling paradise Macao have continued to show a decline in sales last year.

The anti-corruption campaign by the Chinese government scares increasingly wealthy gamblers, making the outlook for the world's biggest gambling center remain difficult for the time being.
The casinos in the special administrative region of China ran last year a turnover of the equivalent of 26.7 billion euros. This is a decrease of 34.3 percent from a year earlier. In December, revenues of the casinos on an annual basis, more than 21 percent lower. It was the nineteenth consecutive month that casino revenues declined in Macau.

Because China is acting forcefully against corruption saw the gambling industry in Macau evaporate this year more than 41 billion euros in market value. China include proposed a new supervisor and consultant to keep an eye on in the gambling paradise.
