london - Thousands of children from across the world will soon be able to look around in their own classroom in Buckingham Palace, thanks to Google's project with virtual reality (VR).

The palace of Queen Elizabeth in London is the first place in England which is included in the Google Expeditions program, an educational app that VR brings lifelike 3D images in the classroom.

With the app, a smartphone and a cardboard stereoscope 'walk' the students in through the main entrance, the big stairs and including the throne room, the portrait and the ballroom. During the tour you can zoom in on details and the children can seek out the 'secret door'.

The Buckingham Palace Tour is one of the 150 VR 'trips' on the app. 500. 000 pupils in schools in England, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Denmark and Sweden have signed up so far for the free app, which also include the moon, Mars and the Chinese wall can are looking around.
