US to send troops to Cameroon

- The United States sent three hundred soldiers to Cameroon to help in the fight against the terrorist group Boko Haram. President Barack Obama , Congress here Wednesday informed of . The Americans will mainly deal with the gathering of information about the terrorists who have their home base in northeastern Nigeria , but also in northern Cameroon death and destruction .

Boko Haram is a kind of sect which was founded in 2002 by Mohammed Yusuf in Maiduguri , Nigeria . He wanted to end all Western influence in the region.

The movement eventually became extremely violent, especially under the leadership of Abubakar Shekau who killed Yusuf succeeded in 2009.

Today, the group sees itself as a department of Islamic State. Boko Haram has at least 13 000 Nigerians killed and 1.5 million people to flee . The movement has since the beginning of 2014 at least 2000 women and children abducted.
