Trump sends Pence to Asia

World August 31, 2018 22:16

washington - US President Donald Trump will not go to Singapore and Papua New Guinea in November for top talks with Asian leaders. In his stead, he sends Vice President Mike Pence. The White House has announced this on Friday.

Trump was again invited to the meetings on, among other things, economic cooperation in Southeast Asia and the Asian Pacific. Last year he had responded to this, now Pence can observe the honors. The president himself flies to Paris on November 11 to make the 100th anniversary of the file that ended the First World War.

Trump actually wanted to have an American military parade in Washington, but that plan was killed because of the estimated costs. 'When he is in Europe, the president also visits Ireland to renew our strong and historic ties,' said spokeswoman Sarah Sanders. Later in the month of November, Trump attends a meeting of the G20 in Buenos Aires and conducts consultations in Colombia on safety and the fight against drugs.
