pula - The 46-year-old woman who dropped overboard on a cruise ship in the Adriatic and was only fished out of the water ten hours later, had a special survival strategy.

Stewardess Kay Longstaff fell 100 kilometers off the coast of Pula, Croatia into the sea. That happened Saturday around midnight. The English had drunk quite a bit that evening. She wore shorts and a top.

Kay bobbed around and the seconds were minutes and finally after ten o'clock she was located.

Her rescuers told them that she has kept alive with yoga exercises and singing. Because of the yoga she was also super fit. The singing made her feel the cold of the 20-degree warm water.

Kay was admitted to a local hospital with mild undercooling symptoms but was able to return home after research.

An expert in survival techniques says in The Sun that Kay had all the luck of the world that the sea is so warm and calm. At a grade of five you only survive an hour, at fifteen six hours. At 25 degrees, the maximum is 25 hours. 'But the greatest happiness she had is that she was found. It is still looking for a needle in a haystack ', says Mike Tipton.
