budapest - The fugitive former Prime Minister of Macedonia has, according to his own claim, been granted asylum in Hungary. Nikola Gruevski had fled to the country of his political ally Viktor Orbán to escape a prison sentence of two years.

Gruevski was convicted in his own country for abuse and hit the plane earlier this month. He still has more charges in Macedonia over his head. The former prime minister now reports on Facebook that his asylum application in Hungary has been honored. He claims to be politically prosecuted in his own country.
