oslo - The synchronization service of Opera Web browser has been hacked. The Norwegian company announced last weekend. The attack was quickly stopped, but possible nevertheless captured data. It is about passwords and login names of users.

Opera emphasizes that encrypts all stored information or 'hashed and salted'- a process where text was first translated into numbers and then additional bits are added '- is stored.
