Steward saves life French Bulldog

orlando - A French Bulldog was able to get off the plane alive last week thanks to the action of the crew of the American budget flyer JetBlue. The dog was drowsy and hardly reacted to anything else, when a flight attendant took out an oxygen mask and placed it over the nose and mouth of the little four-legged friend.

The dog recovered quickly, much to the relief of his owners, Michele and Steven Burt. They were on their way from Orlando, Florida to Worcester in the American state Massachusets, when they noticed that their dog Darcy was pushing her carrier bag against her carrier bag. 'I saw that her tongue was blue and knew something was wrong,' Michele says in a letter of thanks to the airline company.

Initially, the body of Darcy was tried to cool off with ice, but when that did not work out, the oxygen mask was added. 'She recovered again within a few minutes,' Michele writes, happy with the crew's proper handling. 'For many people it may be just a dog, for us she is a member of the family. '

Airline companies always have extra oxygen masks on board, in case passengers have an oxygen shortage. In travelers who suffer from hypoxia, tissues in the body do not get enough oxygen.

Incidentally, the incident has caused the discussion to flare up whether flying is safe for bulldogs anyway. These dogs have a flat nose and often have problems with their breathing.
