Sonos launches the Play Base

boston - What if almost three quarters of people have stand the TV on a cabinet? Then a hanging soundbar is not so convenient. So Sonos launches on March 7 next Playbar now the Play Base.

Sonos in 2013 introduced the Playbar that could be placed under the TV hanging on the wall. From my own company investigation showed that few customers, only 30 percent, the soundbar also so used. With most is the device to a TV unit, preventing it came into its own.

The new Play Base, which like the Playbar costs € 699, will change this. These so-called sound plate, place under the TV or on one of the shelves in the TV cabinet. You do not have to worry about the weight of the TV. Play Base is strong enough to handle any screen.

The Play Base design is simple but stylish. The device is 58mm high and available in white and black. On the front and side of the Play Base are 43. 000 holes that provide the proper air circulation in the speaker. The holes we already saw in the Play: 5, which was released last year. Play Base also has the same touch buttons, which lets you adjust the volume by touching or go to the previous or next song by flicking.

As with the Playbar you can connect the Play Base two Sonos speakers for 3. 1 surround setup or with an additional subwoofer, with the aptly named SUB there for a 5. 1 setup. It makes you beautiful and powerful sound while watching a movie, playing a video game, or listening to music.

Sonos is currently working together with Amazon to vote assisent Alexa later to deploy this year to control the Sonos speakers with the voice. You have called the Amazon Echo (€ 179.99) or Echo Dot (€ 59.99) is needed to make this possible.
