Remains of 4,000-year-old pyramid discovered

cairo - Archaeologists have discovered in Egypt remains of a nearly 4000 year old pyramid. The structure is found 30 kilometers south of Cairo, as the Department of Antiquities in Egypt announced Monday. According to the ministry, the discovered parts well preserved so far, reports the BBC.

The excavations have only just begun. It is therefore not clear how big the structure is and how the pyramid is intact. When the pyramid is found an alabaster stone with hieroglyphs.
